Willow Dene School, Plumstead

Our planning team were thrilled to secure planning permission last week for the expansion of Willow Dene School’s Oakmere Road campus in Plumstead. The extension will provide a dedicated sixth-form provision for some of Greenwich’s most vulnerable young people. This enlargement will allow the school to expand its provision for children with special educational needs.

The scheme will be delivered using a MMC approach to minimise on-site disruption and allow for the sixth-form provision to be operational in 2023. Daniel Watney Planning worked collaboratively with the Royal Borough of Greenwich Capital Projects and Planning Departments and contractor Wernick Group Limited to design a high-quality scheme that sits perfectly in the townscape and respects the original school building.

We welcomed the Council’s recent resolution at Committee and are looking forward to seeing the final product installed on site.
