Daniel Watney’s Planning Team gained full planning permission on behalf of a private client for the demolition of an existing house and ancillary buildings with a replacement dwelling and stables in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead’s Metropolitan Green Belt.
The scheme was considered inappropriate development in the Green Belt but the team successfully demonstrated that very special circumstances weighed in favour of the proposed development. The planning permission represents a circa 220% uplift of prime residential floorspace, compared to the existing house including a significant subterranean basement.
The grand house and stables is designed by Mixity Studio and is set in extensive landscaping by Stephen Kirkpatrick of Scarp Landscape Architecture
Replacement house will be a significant improvement to both the openness of the Green Belt and the quality of the buildings on the site.
